100% Design, the UK’s largest design trade show, has unveiled its commissioned installations for this year’s edition, which is organised around the theme Design in Colour.

The show is part of the London Design Festival and is in its 21st year. It is divided into five sections: Interiors, Design and Build, Kitchens and Bathroom, Workplace and Emerging Brands.

Special commissions include the Interiors’ Feature, which represents this year’s colour theme. Designed by Studio Design UK, it showcases key colours applied to a concept space, which uses columns to separate selected pieces of furniture from this year’s show.

Half-Three Café is a “multi-sensory” café based in the Kitchens and Bathrooms section of the show. It includes a chandelier installation, which uses hand-blown glass to reflect different shades of tea, and which creates a colour spectrum when light passes through it.

Mattergarden has been designed as a talking and thinking space, and has a “stratum-inspired” seating structure to “inspire conversation and engagement among visitors”, says 100% Design. It also includes a juice bar, serving organic ingredients used in both recipes and in interiors and construction.

The auditorium installation is an open space for visitors to take part in the Talks with 100% Design programme, and includes textured wall coverings and artwork designed by textile designer Anne Kyyrö Quinn.

100% Design 2015 takes place at Olympia London from 23 – 26 September.
