BR&Me designs new packaging for soft drink brand Capri-Sun

BR&Me has designed new packaging for soft drink brand Capri-Sun, owned by Coca-Cola Enterprises. Launching in time for the new school year, the design attempts to reflect the drink’s claims to contain all natural ingredients while remaining fun. Prominence is given to the ‘Nothing artificial at all’ tagline and the new look will be backed by an ‘Alive with juice’ advertising campaign.

We were astonished to see the Cardiff Central Library wayfinding project by Stills Design (Guiding touch, DW 25 June) and its striking resemblance to our Barbican Centre wayfinding system which won the Design Week Award for wayfinding in 2007. We were surprised that the similarity between the two projects wasn’t picked up. It is disappointing that the Cardiff scheme is receiving acclaim with no mention of the project that it undoubtedly attempts to replicate.

Youth Music Box installed in London's Royal Festival Hall

Youth Music Box, an audiovisual recording studio designed by Silent Studios, will be installed in London’s Royal Festival Hall from 17 July to 31 August, for the use of visitors. Intended to encourage improvisation and learning for all ages, the studio will allow four participants at a time to make music on instruments programmed by Silent Studios. Visitors will be encouraged to create their own music tracks and accompanying videos. The videos will be filmed in real time and uploaded ...
