£1m pot set up to fund creative concepts

A £1m project is being launched which aims to fund 10 early-stage creative and technology companies and enable them to develop products to help brands engage with consumers.

The Collider12 accelerator programme is being launched by Creative England, which is putting up £500 000. This amount is being matched by equity investment raised by partner groups Ingenious Media and The Pembridge Partnership.

The Collider12 team is looking for products across the creative and technology sectors, for example app or online game development for brands.

These ideas will then be linked up with the 10 brands involved in the programme – who are yet to be announced – to go through an ‘intense’ programme of development, over a period of up to a year.

The aim is for the creative teams to retain IP ownership of their projects.

Applications are open until 2 November, and successful applicants will be contacted on 14 November.

The programme will begin on 7 January.
