IPG revenues fall during first half of 2005

Interpublic Group has reported a year-on-year fall in global revenues of 2.6 per cent at its Constituent Management Group, for the first six months of 2005. The $11.6m decline of CMG - comprising FutureBrand, Jack Morton, Weber Shandwick, De Vries, Golin Harris and Octogan - contrasts with 2.7 per cent increases from its Integrated Agency Networks. IPG also parried the threat of being delisted last week, by restating its earnings back to 2000.

Phonica Records in London's Soho has asked 33 designers to select their favourite 12 inch vinyl record and decorate it using pen, paint, stickers or stencils. The theme was 'open' and the records are available to purchase. Artists involved in the project include Adrian Johnson, David Horvath and Andy Potts. The exhibition runs all this month.

University of the Arts gets low satisfaction rating

The University of the Arts has been named as the UK's university with the lowest overall satisfaction rating among its students, according to a Sunday Times survey. The UK's top placed university undergraduate degree courses in art and design were listed as: Edinburgh in first place, University of the Arts and Brighton in joint second, and St. Martin's, Lancaster with Goldsmith's in joint fourth place.

WMH gives new lease of life to Complan
