'Innoversity' is an exciting new HEFCE-funded laboratory for multi-disciplinary activity, jointly run with St George’s University of London, focusing on the creative interaction between design and business and aimed at developing innovative proposals for health-related and cultural industries in the region and beyond. It builds on Kingston University’s long-established reputation for design education; its internationally-renowned Business School; its strong traditions in engineering education; its role (within the South-West London Academic Network (SWan)); and its highly successful suite of masters’ programmes in the Creative Economy. This two year pilot project is part of an exciting and ambitious plan to make Kingston University a centre for teaching, enterprise and research relating to design and innovation and the creative economy.

As the Director of ‘Innoversity’, you will need to have the necessary strategic and operational skills and experience to initiate and lead design/business projects in a multi-disciplinary environment; have a background in either design or business (with a strong knowledge of the other area) in either an academic or an industrial context; be an enthusiastic and pro-active team member; and have experience of monitoring, documenting and reporting on projects. Above all you must be a strong communicator and have experience of working at the interface between higher education and business.
