DESIGN WEEK WEBSITE

Why isn't the website displaying properly?
The Design Week website should display correctly in Safari, Firefox and Internet Explorer 6.0 and 7.0. If you are using an older version of Internet Explorer the website will not display as it should. You will need to open the website in a new browser to view it correctly. You can download Mozilla Firefox 2.0 for free from here.

What does Subscribe mean?
The symbol Subscribe when seen on designweek.co.uk indicates content is available to subscribers only.

How do I log in?
Log in
On the top of the home page can enter your username and password and then click on the LOG IN button. You can also access your login page using the ‘Subscribe’ link on the navigation bar on the left hand side of the website.

How can I change my login password or email?
To change your password you will need to visit the forgotten password screen. From here you can request a link to a page from where you can amend your Design Week password. If you would like to set a new email address for your account, please email web@designweek.co.uk with the details.

I saw a great design story a few weeks back. Why can I no longer access it?
Except for a few features, Design Week's editorial articles automatically become subscriber-only content after being on the website for 30 days. You can access our 15 year+ archive by subscribing.

Do I have to log in each time I visit the site?
Yes, unless your browser remembers your user name and password for you. Currently designweek.co.uk does not use cookies.

What happens if I forget my password?
Visit the forgotten password screen and enter the email address you have created your log-in with. An email will be sent to you containing a link to a web page where you can reset your password. For the security of our users we do not keep a record of passwords..

How do I search for a job?
Job SearchWhen you click the Jobs link at the left side of the screen, you are taken to a page listing our Job of the Week, Latest Jobs and including a job search function. Select the appropriate option and click 'search'. If you would like to specify further options, or select more than one item in each category, click Advanced Search.

As well as using the site to search for jobs, you can sign up for Job Alerts and have the most recent and relevant vacancies emailed to you every evening.

My Profile allows you to enter your professional details, which can be included with any job applications. You can also upload a copy of your CV for potential employers to browse through.

The Recruiter A-Z is a listing of contact details of companies currently recruiting, including links to all of their active job posts.

Recruiter Services is where recruiters holding accounts with Design Week can log in to post new vacancies.

How do I sign up for Job Alerts?
To sign up for job alerts you must first register, after this you can set alerts from Design Week Jobs.

How do I sign up for News Alerts?
To sign up for news alerts you must first register. Registration is a quick process where you can choose to receive Design Week’s news alerts.

How can I access secure content if I can’t find my subscription id number?
If you are an existing subscriber your reference number can usually be found on the address label of your copies of Design Week. It is also usually quoted in all emails and letters we send. If you are having problems locating your number you can ring our customer service team on: +44 (0)20 7292 3704.

Do I have to be a subscriber to Design Week magazine to use designweek.co.uk?
No. Anyone can access the site and read breaking news stories and opinion articles, including the lead news stories from the print magazine. However, most of the features and archive content is subscriber only.

Can I search through past stories?
Yes - with some restrictions if you are not a subscriber. You can search by typing in a phrase or word into the search box at the top left corner of the site. You can browse through stories that match your search terms. The site carries a full archive of Design Week magazine content.

How can I subscribe to Design Week Magazine?
To subscribe to Design Week magazine and access exclusive subscriber only sections on our website click subscribe.

How will Design Week acknowledge my order?

An email acknowledgement of your order will be sent to you almost immediately when you place your order. This will confirm to you the details of what you have bought and the address or addresses to which the issues will be sent.

When will I receive the first issue of my new subscription?

To ensure prompt delivery of your subscription, Centaur's Circulation Department prepares magazine distribution up to a week in advance. This means that your new weekly subscription will reach you within 1-2 weeks of ordering.

What if an issue doesn’t arrive?

Simply contact our Customer Service department on +44 (0)20 7292 3704 and they will check we have your correct address details and arrange for a replacement copy to be sent to you.

Whether you are taking out a subscription for yourself or for someone else, we will send you reminders before the end of your subscription. Design Week recognises the need to provide a safe and secure means of accessing www.designweek.co.uk. Numerous safeguards are in place to ensure that our subscribers' privacy and confidentiality are well-protected. Visit our Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions pages for full details.

What do you do with my payment information?

Card details submitted at www.designweek.co.uk are not stored in our systems after your visit. All card data is collected on secure forms to safeguard your information. Once payment has been cleared, this data is deleted.

 

How can I ensure my newsagent has a copy of Design Week for me?Just Ask!

A new initiative has been launched to help you obtain your favourite magazines from newsagents. Called Just Ask!, it aims to raise awareness of how newsagents can stock, order and in some cases even deliver magazines to your home. To take advantage of Just Ask!, click here and then print, complete and return the form to your newsagent to ensure you get your copy of Design Week magazine every week.

 

TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. The prize draw is open to anyone resident in the UK aged 18 years and over.

2. Employees of Centaur Media plc and its subsidiaries or of any other company connected with the draw are not eligible to enter, neither are members of their families or households.

3. Entries will be limited to one per household.

4. No purchase necessary, closing date 31st of January 2008

5. The winners will be notified in writing by the 5th February 2008.

6. Any entry card which is damaged, defaced, illegible or incomplete or which otherwise does not comply with these rules, may be deemed invalid at the sole discretion of the promoters. Proof of entry cannot be deemed as proof of delivery.

7. If the winner/s cannot be traced after reasonable efforts have been made by the promoters, then the organisers will be entitled to dispose of the prize as it thinks fit, without any liability to the prize winner/s.

8. There is no cash alternative to the prize listed in Design Week.

9. Please allow a minimum of 30 days for delivery.

10. The winner/s will be required to be available for promotional press interviews and photo-opportunities that may be required by the promoters of the competition.  The promoters maintain the right to use any promotional materials created as a result of this competition for on-going promotions for Design Week.

11. The judges' decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into. 

12. The cancellation of the prize draw at any point is entirely at the discretion of the organisers.
