Liverpool-based design consultancy Black and Ginger has redesigned the website for architect Shedkm, which is able to show over 200 of its projects spanning the last 14 years.

Black and Ginger was appointed to the project in late 2010, having developed the architect’s previous website in 2008.

The new site moves away from using the Flash platform and is ‘more prepared for social media’, according to Black and Ginger. It reflects the Shedkm branding through the use of squares and Bauhaus influences, according to Black and Ginger.

Alex Frech, Black and Ginger director, says, ‘Like other architects, they really care about their own brand and feel – it’s important to make sure the site is on-brand and styled.’

He adds that they added more project descriptions and titles to the site, as well as enhancing the news feature and image archive.

Shedkm associate Lee Halligan says, ‘Black and Ginger have grasped the importance of balancing our need for a more complex website interface without loosing the simplicity of our previous site and the strong identity of our brand.’

The site launches tomorrow.
