Blue Marlin has developed the graphics and branding for Turbo Tango, which uses aerosol technology and is billed as ‘soft drink meets squirty cream’.

Britvic, which owns the Tango brand and has licenced the technology used in the project, claims that Turbo Tango is the is the world’s first soft drink dispensed through an aerosol container and delivers ‘a foamy blast of orange’. Britvic led a team of more than 40 international development partners on the project.

Turbo Tango is aimed at late teens, and will be available this month in stores and selected cinemas. Blue Marlin says it has developed ‘edgy and disruptive’ designs to engage its target audience.

Andrew Eyles, global chief executive of Blue Marlin, says, ‘Turbo Tango is going to be a huge hit with the target market. It’s what Tango is all about: being different and having irreverent fun. To say it breaks the category norms is something of an understatement.’

Jonathan Gatward, marketing director of Britvic soft drinks, says, ‘With Turbo Tango we’ve gone one step further and come up with a world first that really is “soft drink meets squirty cream”.’

  • I have tried this new tango. It cost me like £1.79 but it was EPIC. Im 18 and never had so much fun with a drink before. Admittedly i did waste some of the drink by seeing how far it would squirt but the foamy-ness is both weird and wonderful :D make it cheaper and it will be perfect :D
