Clerkenwell Design Week line-up unveiled

Tom Dixon and Hitch Mylius will be among the exhibitors at a new three-day design festival in London’s Clerkenwell.

Clerkenwell Design Week, to be held in May, will include installations and exhibitions, as well as a programme of workshops, seminars and debates that will discuss trends and issues in modern design.

The main hub of the festival will be centred around the Farmiloe building on St John Street, which will host a pop-up exhibition of work from British and international designers including Arper, Artifort and Cornish furniture and lighting group Mark.

Around 50 local showrooms, including Vitra, Knoll and Modus, will be involved in the festival, and will run events and product launches throughout the week.

Lee McCormack will launch the latest version of the Ovei ‘personal media experience’ pod (pictured), which was created in collaboration with McLaren Applied Technologies. Shoe designer Tracey Neuls will exhibit a new collection created for the festival, and Lammhults will be displaying and auctioning its Area chair, which was designed in collaboration with Paul Smith.

Clerkenwell Design Week runs from 25-27 May.
