The show will be held across two floors of the Gallery, with the Project Space on the second floor hosting ten large-scale installations, with a focus on textiles and furniture.

Collect, which has been running since 2004, presents contemporary craft including ceramics, glassware, jewellery and furniture.

The British Museum and the V&A have both acquired works from Collect, and for the last five years the Art Fund Collect scheme has offered UK curators the opportunity to buy Collect objects for their collection.

In the run-up to the event, the Crafts Council asked Design Week and other organisations to pick their favourite object going on display at Collect.

We plumped for Shigekazu Nagae’s lovely Forms in Succession #1,  a kirigami-like porcelain construnction.

You can check out the rest of the objects (and the choices of the London Design Festival, DCMS and others) at the Crafts Council’s Pinterest page here.
