Creative talent should be nurtured across all sectors
Regarding Piers Schmidt’s Design Business piece, Fighting talk from the independent sector (DW 8 November), I agree with Rodney Fitch and Charles Trevail.
Creativity, morals and ethics have more to do with personal attitude, time for thinking, raw talent and experience, not business size.
Having worked in small and large design groups, as well as client side at Nike, creative talent flourishes wheresoever it is taken seriously and allowed to shine.
‘Real vision’ isn’t just the preserve of the smaller groups, any more than depth of services are the domain of the larger groups.
