Google’s self-driving car and Ustwo’s Monument Valley Game are among projects battling it out for the Design Museum’s 2015 Designs of the Year Award.

A total of 76 designs have been nominated this year, across categories including Fashion, Graphics, Digital and Architecture.

Also on the longlist are Asif Khan’s Megafaces Pavilion for the Sochi Olympics, Metric Design and Snøhetta’s proposals for the redesign of Norway’s banknotes and Paul Cocksedge Studio’s Double O bicycle light.

The category winners will be announced on 4 May, and the overall winner on 4 June. An exhibition of the longlisted projects will run at the Design Museum from 25 March-23 August.

Last year’s Designs of the Year winner was Zaha Hadid’s Heydar Aliyev Center in Baku, Azerbaijan.
