Emperor has bought Edinburgh- and London-based consultancy Tsuko in a takeover which will see the consultancy folded into Emperor as its new branding division.

The acquisition has been driven by a desire to add brand consultancy to Emperor’s corporate communications and digital offer, according to Steve Kemp, founding director of Emperor.

‘Brand awareness and brand engagement are fundamental to every business and while branding has always been an important element of our work, we believe that with Tsuko founder Susanna Freedman’s expertise we can capitalise on the opportunities to advise and work with clients to a far greater level,’ says Kemp.

Tsuko, which is based in the same cities as Emperor, has transferred all of its employees to the Emperor office in Edinburgh. Emperor also has a Birmingham branch.

‘We have been working very successfully with Tsuko over the past few months. With this agreement we will now launch a dedicated brand consultancy division which will have an in-depth knowledge and experience and an international reach,’ says Kemp.
