'80s skating revival

Organised by skate mag Huck and skateboard company Lovenskate, the Rolling Back the Years show - coming to Shoreditch’s Red Gallery, features designs by skate illustrator Richard Sayer and Jimbo Phillips (the son of ‘Screaming Hand’ skate designer Jim Phillips).

Joining them are Huck creative director Rob Longworth, Lovenskate’s Stu Smith, Owen Tozer of Thisismadeup, and artists Schoph Schophield, Benjamin Jeanjean and Geoff Rowley.

Seven of the artists were exhibited at the original Rolling Back the Years show held last year in Seignosse, France, although Rowley is new for this show.

Alongside the customised decks, a series of skate culture photos, taken for Huck by contributors from around the world, will be going on show.

Rolling Back the Years is at the Red Gallery, 3 Rivington Street, London EC2 from 13-15 January.
