Poundshop
While we’re rather tired of the idea of ‘pop-ups’, we’ll make an exception for Poundshop, opening for just three days this weekend.
Founded by design collective Household and illustrator Sara Melin, Poundshop, which sells very reasonably priced design products, was launched last year, and featured in 2010 and 2011’s London Design Festivals, as well as in the Somerset House Christmas market.

This Christmas, the shop will be selling lovely products from designers and illustrators including Alice Bosch, DeBurca, Dicky Bird, flat-6 Studio, Freddie Yauner, Marc Owens and Gregor Timlin, Gail Catchpole, Harriet Russell, Hato Press, Household, Joshua Wiley, Lisa Jones, Luicille Clerc, Lydia Leith, Pompadour Press, Sane & Able, Studio Lav, Sara Melin, and Tom Davies for Beaver & Pegg.

Tea floates by Gail Catchpole
As well as festive fare, such as Christmas cards, there will be products from a wide range of disciplines such as illustration, homeware, stationery and prints.

Print by Claire McManus
We love the sinister looking bird of prey print by Claire McManus, and the fantastic Beard Cards by Sane & Able. Everything is priced at either £1, £5, or £10 - so even the scroogiest/skintest gift-buyer need not leave empty handed.

Beard Cards by Sane and Able
Poundshop will take place from 9 - 11 December at Downstairs at Mother London, Biscuit Building, 10 Redchurch Street, London E2.

Pillow cases by Jenni Desmond
All the products will also be available online from www.thepoundshop.org

Hi Stephen,
That comment was meant to be slightly tongue-in-cheek. While there are an awful lot of pop-up projects around at the moment, we're always happy to see them when the concept is as good as it is here.
Thanks
