London’s second cat café, Ginger and Tom’s is set to open in the autumn with a brand created by IC Design.

The consultancy was appointed by the co-founder of Lady Dinah’s Cat Emporium in Shoreditch.

The co-founder, who is no longer involved in Lady Dinah’s, turned to IC Design when she set up her own enterprise.

IC Design design director Rowana Batuwitage says: “The brand feel is a colonial jungle and reflects the interiors.”

Ukrainian illustrator Ekaterina was commissioned to create the two cat characters – Ginger and Tom – as well as the palm leaves, which denote the jungle theme.

“The illustrations are complemented by a cool palette of muted greens and greys as well as Victorian style signposting that will direct users through the jungle,” says Batuwitage.

The consultancy is still designing brand collateral and working on a full website, which is due to launch when the café opens for bookings.

Interiors for the café are being designed by Kai Design.
