Alexander Boxill has designed the identity for this year’s Lovie Awards. It designed a pixelated heart-shaped identity for the pan-European internet content awards when it was founded in 2010. Each year the consultancy remixes the identity and this year has gone for a hand-made look and feel. Creative director Violetta Boxill says: “The lovie heart logo was drawn with intersecting diagonal slashes to divide the face. This was then scored in polypropylene and bent to make a faceted surface before the heart silhouette was cut from clay and placed on the polypropylene. Finally the form was filled with plaster and the clay peeled away and cleaned up with a blade and sand paper.”
