The likes of Tom Dixon, Sir David Chipperfield, and Sir Paul Smith have redesigned the Ernest Race BA2 chair and their efforts will be displayed at Selfridges’ Oxford Street, London store where they will form a hanging installation entitled Re-Work It. There are 90 individually designed chairs in total and they will be sold via online auction from 22 May. It is part of the Work It campaign at Selfridges, which the retailer says highlights how “the way we work is changing” and how “craftsmanship embraces new technologies”. Charity The Art Room is behind the Work It season and has worked with Fair & Co on curating the Re-Work It show.
