A new product has launched which aims to help animators create realistic clips.

Stickybones, created by film character animators Erik Baker and Lauren Baker, is a small, freestanding human figure that aims to enable creatives and animators to explore “expressive, gravity-defying poses easily”.

It aims to “bridge a gap between ideas and computerised animation”, says the company.

It is made from polymers, comprised of interlocking parts with ball and sockets that can be snapped together, and has magnetic hands and feet.

Stickybones has now succeeded its $85,000 (£59,233) target on Indiegogo.
