The Salvation Army clothing bank redesign, by Central St Martins College graduates

Screen Shot 2015-06-02 at 16.12.14A group of Central St Martins graduates has designed a set of limited edition clothing banks for The Salvation Army which light up when they receive donations in a bid to demonstrate the impact that giving clothes has on the people that receive them. Sonia Kneepkens, Maya Dufeu and Manuela Pereira were tasked with showing the range of services offered by The Salvation Army – such as homelessness and addiction services and care for the elderly. The LEDs on the outside of the bin light up one-by-one with each donation while the rest of it has been covered in graphics showing what the organisation does.
