Artist Roger Palmer has transformed an atrium space in The Tetley gallery in Leeds into a life-size mural of a palm tree.
The display is part of the artist’s exhibition Winter Garden, which looks at Palmer’s work from the last 40 years, based around the ideas of place, migration and settlement.
The mural is based on an illustration from a 20th century horticultural book of a palm tree called the Acanthophoenix Crinita.
