Interaction Design supplement

We have long looked to interaction designers to boost branding and communications programmes. But the technology and digital creatives are hugely capable of far more than designing websites and banner ads, and can challenge our minds and delight our senses through all manner of channels.

Digit’s exquisite Typographic Tree was an early manifestation of the beauty of digital design. Onedotzero and others, meanwhile, continue to put a public face on the possibilities of interaction – the Victoria & Albert Museum’s Decode: Digital Design Sensations exhibition was a case in point, but so are museum and gallery installations across the world.

As it grows in diversity, so the digital arena is shaping up as a business sector within design, with Sir Martin Sorrell famously tipping it as a financial winner going forward. We have therefore singled out interaction specialists to create our first Top Ten of earners. To balance this, though, we are celebrating the Top 50 most creative groups, based on their awards success.
