Demand grows for work by Greenpeace artist Banksy

Presenting the Government with a giant, recycled-cardboard tree made out of thousands of anti-Blair voting cards may not sound the most obvious way of saving the rainforests, but that’s what Greenpeace was apparently hoping for in its protest march to Downing Street this week.

The cards are the work of Third Planet Design and feature illustrations by ‘controversial’ and ‘outrageous’ street artist Banksy, who has gained notoriety for his distinctive graffiti.

‘He’s very much wanted by the police for his maverick art,’ gushes a PR for the campaign. Er, for a logo revamp? Or that helmet redesign perhaps? ‘No, they want to arrest him.’ Right.
