Spencer du Bois has created a new identity for charity Merlin, which specialises in providing emergency relief and rebuilding health services.

The consultancy says the new identity focuses on the breadth of activity carried out by the charity, by combining the iconic representations of different services into a ’bold’ letter ’M’.

Claire Biscard, design director at Spencer du Bois, says, ’The icons combine to create the Merlin “M” and evolve into a distinctive, flexible and animated brand language that communicates on all levels.’

The consultancy was appointed in May, following a pitch, and the new identity will begin to roll out from 19 November.
