I never promised you a beer garden

Landor’s director of communications Deborah Fitzgerald has fulfilled a long-standing ambition by grouping together with ten friends to buy their own pub.

Not content with simply choosing to buy a house near a decent local, Fitzgerald bought the pub at the end of her street. Called The North Pole, despite its west London location, it is now working on achieving the credentials of a modern gastro-pub with a menu of tempting dishes.

Fitzgerald confesses that she is rarely outside the walls of a public house. She lives in a converted pub as well.
