‘Vintage’ train posters
The trend for reworked, old-fashioned style book covers, albums and prints is starting to get a bit, well, old-fashioned, but we’re prepared to make an exception for these rather nice ‘vintage’ train posters.
They been created by the design team at Leeds-based Epiphany, and were commissioned by online hotel service HRS to mark a series of rail-related anniversaries.
This year marks not just the 100th annivsary of Bradsahw’s Continental Railway guide, but also 150 years since the opening of the London Underground.
In homage to Bradshaw’s, the posters depict two classic trains – the Flying Scotsman and the Mallard – and one modern Tube train in the style that Bradshaw’s original customers might have seen them.
