Candy Black works on fashion week event

Poole-based consultancy Candy Black has been appointed to create interiors for the Vauxhall Fashion Scout event during London Fashion Week.

Vauxhall Fashion Scout showcases innovative and up-and-coming designers and will have a space at Freemasons’ Hall in London’s Covent Garden during the festival, which runs from 17-22 September.

Candy Black was appointed to the project following previous branding and digital projects for Vauxhall Fashion Scout, says Candy Black director Jason Rubino.

The consultancy was briefed to create two rooms, an exhibition space and a VIP press room for visitors to the event.

Candy Black is collaborating with London’s Vessel Gallery on the project. The gallery is supplying lighting fixtures for the rooms.

The exhibition room will have a minimal look and feel featuring low box seating, white sheepskin textures and a centrepiece of white lighting sculpture the Lipka Tree by Olgoj Chorchoj, to provide a clean background for the fashion designers’ work, says Rubino.

The press room will feature low-hanging chandeliers, black Chesterfield sofas and a black and gold palette to further enhance the decorative space inside the Freemasons’ Hall.
