Start Creative works on Red Nose Day 2011

Start Creative will work with Comic Relief on brand communication projects for Red Nose Day 2011, delivering a campaign for UK schools.

Resource packs designed by Start Creative will be issued to primary and secondary schools and nurseries at the beginning of next year in the build-up to the March 2011 event.

The packs, which are yet to be developed, will be ‘fun, innovative and as interactive as possible’, a Start Creative spokeswoman says. They will feature online support but be primarily offline.

Start Creative, which was appointed in May after pitching for the work, has not worked with the charity before. Bill Grosbee, the head of creative services at Comic Relief, previously held a marketing role at one of the consultancy’s existing clients, Virgin Atlantic.

Direct marketing posters, created by Start, have already arrived at schools, encouraging teachers to apply for resource packs.

The fold-out posters feature a red nose in a mirror which appears on the face of the recipient’s reflection. This is accompanied by the tagline ‘It all starts with one person… that’s you.’
