Hiatus – thoughts on innovation and sustainability

Spanish consultancy Sanserif Creatius is publishing the second volume in its Hiatus series of books, promising a ‘100 per cent ecological’ work.

Hiatus

Hiatus II brings together thoughts on innovation and sustainable development from the likes of Ken Garland, Jasper Morrison and Nacho Carbonell.

In all, 24 creatives from ten countries write about subjects ranging from the importance of bicycles to the evolution of the keffiyah scarf.

The limited-edition book is printed on recycled paper, and in the spirit of recycling, there are also updated versions of Garland’s 1964 First Things First manifesto, and the 2000 Hannover Principles, by William McDonough and Michael Braungart

Each article comes with a QR code, that will link out to further information and writing by the author, as well as references in the text. Sanserif Creatius says, ‘The aim is to make this book a documentary source book, and not just a text.’

Hiatus Volume II is available by emailing info@sanserif.es, and costs 12 euros. For more information, visit http://hiatusbookblog.wordpress.com
