Idents inspired by movie locations
Flux has refreshed the look of film channel Turner Classic Movies through a series of 50 idents based on iconic US movie locations.
The consultancy, which has worked with Turner Broadcasting previously, says it has looked to ‘capture the spirit of great American cinema without being film-specific’.
The idents have been shot in more than 30 locations including Los Angeles, Route 66, Monument Valley, Arizona, and New York – where Flux worked with Turner Broadcasting’s sister production company th1ng/th2ng on a two-week shoot.
A cinematic effect has been designed by colourist Vince Narduzzo. The films have been further enhanced through post production by Th1ng and TCM.
The new idents will roll out on TCM across Europe, the Middle East and Africa from tomorrow.
