Stiff + Trevillion creates new look for GO restaurant

Stiff + Trevillion has created a concept for pizza restaurant GO, which introduces a ‘rough industrial’ feel to the pizzeria.

GO, which is already established in the North of England across four locations, approached the consultancy in early 2012 and proposed a new look for the south of the country. Go says it speciailises in ‘fast, fresh Italian themed food’ particularly aimed at the fast turn-around lunchtime market.

With one restaurant newly opened in London’s Spitalfields, the latest site in Chiswick, which opens this week, hones a look featuring distressed copper and reclaimed materials developed into bespoke fittings by the consultancy.

Rough finish wooden furniture supported by galvanized framing has been designed by Stiff + Trevillion.

Copper-clad counters and suspended light fittings have been introduced.  Copper pipes have been installed above tables and turned into light fittings, and at the front of the store there is copper backed vinyl signage.

Red is the only colour introduced as a hint toward Italian cuisine, but the main focus is on creating a contemporary industrial look, according to Stiff + Trevillion.
