The Guardian Collection
The Guardian newspaper is launching the Guardian Collection, a range of products aimed, presumably, at Guardian readers.
The collection features a new range of stationery designed by regular Guardian contributor Noma Bar.
Bar has created six images for the range, which will be used across notebooks and diaries.
For the brief, Bar was simply given a line of text to illustrate. So for Fashion (pictured) he was given the brief Don’t Be a Fashion Victim, while for News he was given the brief Follow the Leaders.
Bar says, ‘I was looking for a dialogue between text and visual, something I usually do for the newspaper, but in this case it wasn’t with 2000 words next to but only one phrase.’
The Guardian Collection will also feature a range of on-demand prints from the Guardian archive, with work from photographers including Tom Jenkins and Christopher Thomond.
The Guardian Collection is available from 2 October at www.guardian.co.uk/guardian-collection.
