Peter & Paul works for The Stars
Sheffield-based consultancy Peter & Paul has created the artwork for an album by The Stars Band – a group whose members all have learning difficulties.
The Stars Band formed in 2010, after meeting at weekly music workshops run by Sheffield social enterprise Under The Stars.
Under The Stars runs and organises nightclubs and music workshops for people with learning difficulties and almost all the 13 members of The Stars Band are on the autistic spectrum.
Peter & Paul has created the CD packaging for the album We Are Stars (We Think Differently), and promotional material for launch night at Sheffield’s Leadmill on 30 May.
The artwork features photography by Johnny Carr, as well as linked typography spelling out the band and album names.
The album features a mixture of musical influences, from punk to new wave, and includes a cover of Radiohead song Creep.
The project has been made possible by financial support from music industry accountant Brown McLeod, Radio 1 DJ Toddla T and Warp Films.
