Think Public opens Cornish office

Public service design consultancy Think Public is opening a new office in Redruth, Cornwall.

The London-based group, whose co-founder Deborah Szebeko is a ‘design producer’ for next year’s Designs of the Time in Cornwall (DW 16 September), is appointing two local designers to work at Think Public Southwest, which will be housed in the same building as Dott. The consultancy plans to run the studio remotely.

Think Public Southwest’s first two projects will tackle the social care needs of an ageing population and help unemployed people aged over 50 return to work.

‘We aim to create more of a market for social and service design in the South West,’ says Szebeko.

Last month, Think Public moved its London headquarters to a larger office ‘to work on bigger projects’.
