Off Life takes its live drawing to Bristol

As part of the upcoming Bristol Comics and Zine Fair, Off Life magazine is hosting a live drawing session at the Stokes Croft venue.

The session builds on Off Life’s weekly #QuickDraw Twitter challenge, with participants given a theme every 20 minutes and challenged to draw, Tweet out to the world and then hang their work on the venue’s walls.

An Off Life live drawing session held earlier this year at London’s Design Museum saw artists including Dan Berry and Kyle Platts decorate the gallery, while visitors were provided with pens and paper to join in the action.

For the Bristol session, there will also be music, readings and comics on sale, while artists will also be able to take part from home using the #QuickDraw hashtag, allowing their work to be beamed around the venue on big screens.

The Bristol Comics and Zine Fair will also feature other events including a Comic Book Slumber Party and the Comics and Noise music event.

Off Life’s live #QuickDraw event is from 7.30pm on 4 October, at the Crofter’s Rightsm 117-119 Stokes Croft, Bristol BS1. The Bristol Comics and Zine Fair 2013 runs until 5 October at The Station, Silver Street, Bristol BS1. For more information visit http://bristolcomicandzinefair.wordpress.com/.
