Edge Architecture & Design refurbishes Harvey Nichols café
The fifth-floor café in Harvey Nichols’s London flagship store is set to reopen in November following refurbishment work by Edge Architecture & Design.
The café features a horseshoe-shaped Corian espresso bar, with a brass finish, while banquette seating has been introduced.
The 200m2 space also features a herringbone wood-effect flooring and an open-plan kitchen with white and gold tiles.
Dark taupe, beige and charcoal grey chairs are used as well as limewashed smoked wood table tops and rose-tinted glass pendant lights.
The consultancy started work on the café in June, with the project led by associate Jayne Furniss and designer Anne-Marie O’Connell.
Furniss says, ‘We’ve worked with the existing architecture and really lightened the space.’
The refurbished café is set to reopen at the end of November.
