Sir Terence Conran is to remain as chairman of Conran Holdings, which oversees the organisations branding, design and architectural interests, among others.

Jasper Conran has been chief creative director of the Conran Shop since last year, and his new role as chairman will see him head up the organisation, which has nine stores around the world.

Jasper will also retain his role as chief creative director for the stores. He is currently leading a refurbishment of the Conran Shop flagship in Fulham, which began in April and is set to complete in September.

Sir Terence Conran says, ‘Jasper is doing an outstanding job revitalising our Fulham Road store. He is breathing new life into the space and bringing back the truly special feel it had when we first opened 25 years ago.

‘I am delighted he has accepted the role of chairman because he is both a highly accomplished designer and a very successful businessman and perfectly placed to lead The Conran Shop.’
