Nottingham consultancy Lawrence & Pierce has won a contract to develop public transport operator Translink Northern Ireland’s branding.

Northern Ireland’s state-owned, public sector bus, coach and rail service operator has recently undergone significant changes, and is now looking to establish a vision and brand values, based on a precursory brand valuation.

Lawrence & Pierce, which won a four-way pitch following a public tender application, will work closely with Translink’s project team and market research group Millward Brown to develop a new brand strategy, according to Lawrence & Pierce managing director Martin Lord.

Translink, which has carried more than 75 million passengers since its creation in 1995, has been working to develop consistency and efficiency across all elements of its transport system.

Ulsterbus, Northern Ireland Railways, and public transport schemes Metro, Enterprise and Goldline come under the Translink corporate brand umbrella.
National Express and Firstgroup are among Lawrence & Pierce’s key clients.
