Simplyhealth has appointed consultancy Brand Union for its future brand development. The health plan provider’s new strategic plan is to “help people with every day health needs, such as back pain, toothache and eyesight”, says Raman Sankaran, Simplyhealth’s lead for brand development.

Consultancy Radar has moved premises to Cape Town, South Africa. The building, based at 21 Rose Street in the Bo Kaap, was previously an art gallery. Jason Ray, owner at Radar, says the consultancy has “tried not to alter its original character, but has breathed some new life into it”.


 

Cosmetic surgery provider Transform has appointed Code Computerlove as its digital consultancy. The consultancy is currently working on a new microsite for the brand.

Animation studio Aardman has gained a majority share in fellow animation studio Nathan Love, and the new company has been rebranded as Aardman Nathan Love. The studio will be based in New York. David Sproxton, co-founder at Aardman, says: “Teaming up with an existing company gives us the opportunity to hit the ground running and gives us a solid base from which to grow.”


 

Mobile and web prototyping platform Malvel has acquired design tool Plexi, which allows users to create animations and interactive designs in their Internet browsers.

Consultancy Uniform has appointed Ken Dixon, founder of Scottish ad agency Newhaven, to head up its brand strategy. Dixon has previously developed strategies for brands such as Kellogg’s and Eurostar, and has worked at consultancies such as Fitch and Ogilvy.

Catering Design Group has appointed Drew Keen as creative director. Claire Smith has also been appointed as business development director. Both are new roles for the company.


 

Consultancy CircleSquare has appointed Philippe Magentie as general manager for the Asia Pacific region. Magentie previously worked as CEO at French skincare company Crème Simon and before this was head of the Singapore Office for consultancy Open D. CircleSquare has worked on brands such as Lancôme, Hendrick’s Gin, Godiva Chocolatier and DKNY.

Bluemarlin has appointed Sally O’Rourke as chief operating officer to its group board of directors. O’Rourke was previously EU managing director at C Space, and has worked with brands such as Coca-Cola, Unilever, Colgate and Pepsi.


 

Architect BuckleyGrayYeoman has appointed Patrick Ueberbacher as an associate. Ueberbacher previously worked at David Chipperfield Architects.
