New hotel in Southwold to hold pitch for interiors brief

A new 30-room, luxury hotel located at the shoreward end of Southwold Pier in Suffolk plans to hold a pitch to find an interior design consultancy in 2011.
Designed by Chelmsford-based architect Barefoot & Gilles, Southwold Pier Hotel’s exterior is inspired by the Art Deco movement.
The bedrooms will be designed to appeal to families, but using ’an imaginative and unusual’ style, according to the hotel’s co-owner Antonia Bournes. The interiors brief will include the design of public areas including the reception area and the hallways.
The pitch will open ’roughly at the start’ of 2011, says the spokeswoman.
