Brandimage’s slanted identity for low-cost airline HOP!
French consultancy Brandimage has created the identity for HOP!, a new low-cost airline operated by Air France.

HOP! Identity
HOP! Replaces Air France Group’s three regional airlines – Brit Air, Regional and Airlinair – and will operate routes throughout France and Europe when it launches in March.
Brandimage, which rebranded Air France in 2009, was tasked with developing a new identity, livery and other touchpoints for the new airline.

Livery
The consultancy says the slanted exclamation mark in the HOP! Identity ‘symbolises the take-off of the plane and embodies HOP!’s spontaneity, action and mobility.’
The exclamation mark is also carried through in the livery to the plane’s tail fin.

The angled exclamation mark can be used in marketing material
Brandimage says it has used a ‘dynamic, energetic’ red for the identity and branding.
Elsewhere, the consultancy has also developed graphics including a ladybird, which features a QR code linking to the HOP! website, and a colour chart symbolising the large number of destinations that HOP! flies to.
