Creative Concern and O Street to brand Manchester arts organisation
Consultancies Creative Concern and O Street have been appointed to develop the name and identity for a new Manchester arts organisation being formed from the merger of the Cornerhouse and the Library Theatre Company.
The consultancies were appointed following a call for entries which launched at the end of last year.
Creative Concern will work on the brand strategy, while O Street will work on creative elements.
A new £19 million arts and cultural centre, which is being designed by Dutch architect Mecanoo, is being built on First Street in central Manchester to house the new organisation. This is set to open in 2014.
The new organisation will produce, host and support a wide-ranging programme of arts, learning and participation, creative industries and digital innovation.
Creative Concern and O Street will now work with audiences, partners and staff to develop the new name and branding, which will launch in October.
