Esterson designs So London

So London cover

Editorial design consultancy Esterson Associates has created the design for So London, a glossy weekly magazine for the capital which launches today.

Edited by former Associated Newspapers senior editor Christena Appleyard, the title will focus on property, arts, culture and what it describes as ‘shameless luxury’. The title is pitched as ‘a truly metropolitan-based weekly newsstand magazine that covers the issues and interests that the discerning brand conscious Londoner needed and wanted’.

So London is presented as a full-colour, perfect-bound format, printed on 90gsm matt paper. The first issue features cover artwork by illustrator André Carrilho.

The title kicks off with articles by writers including Howard Jacobson, David Aaronovitch, Charlotte de Rothschild, Tom Parker Bowles, Lionel Shriver and Bryan Appleyard, who previews the Victoria & Albert Museum’s Surreal Things show. It is published by So London Publishing, priced £2.95.
