Government Procurement Service launches first tender
The government has announced details of the first of its new creative services frameworks, which is worth up to £520million.
The Advertising and Marketing Services framework covers five lots. It is now active and details the contracting of ‘creative content, delivery, execution and related services’ to the framework which envisages 30 participating consultancies.
The announcement comes in the wake of the Central Office of Information being disbanded and replaced with the Government Communication Centre which handles the new Government Procurement Service.
Under the terms of the framework The Government Procurement Service will contract work for central government bodies, their arms length bodies and agencies, non-departmental public bodies, NHS bodies and local authorities.
It is understood that this is the first in a series of successive frameworks which will be announced in due course, detailing the procurement of other types of creative services.
The deadline for applications of the advertising and marketing services framework is 19 September.
