ICC appoints Min Tat for its branding work
Branding group Minale Tattersfield & Partners has won a seven-year contract with the International Cricket Council to oversee all its branding work.
The consultancy is creating a corporate identity for the ICC which is due to be launched in six months time. It will be used as a tool in the sale of Test matches to TV channels globally. Minale Tattersfield will also be rolling out the branding on merchandise.
The UK group previously created the identity for the English Premier League, while its Australian sister group Minale Tattersfield and Bryce is the design consultant for the forthcoming Olympics. Minale Tattersfield chairman Marcello Minale says: "Sport has become a product and you have to brand it as nothing more than sport."
Other sports-related projects undertaken by the design group include identities for the Professional Golfer's Association Tour of Australasia and the Australian Rugby Union Team.
