LBi brings Art Deco look to Cunard's digital offer
LBi has overhauled the website of cruise line company Cunard and introduced an Art Deco look and a functionality which includes personal shopping and live-feed information from the ships.
Site visitors in the UK, US and Australia can take a look at what is happening on each cruise in real time, giving them ‘a unique glimpse of life at sea’ says LBi. The site can be seen here.
The look of the site, taken from the liner’s ships ‘is inspired by the glamour of the art deco era’ according to LBi, which says the site has been designed to work across tablet computers – devices which are more likely to be owned by Cunard’s key audiences.
The new site is the first piece of major work delivered by LBi for Carnival-owned Cunard which it has been engaged with on strategy work since July 2012.
Navigation has been improved to give users quick access to ship details, itineraries, excursions, accommodation and fares.
Simon Attwater, LBi group creative director says, ‘When designing this new digital showcase we wanted to bring to life the experience of being on a Cunard cruise. The site even allows us to place visitors on board a particular ship at that particular moment in time, so that they can experience life at sea (or in port) as it happens.’
