WonderlandWPA to repackage Welsh water brand
London-based consultancy WonderlandWPA has won the contract to rebrand Welsh mineral water company Brecon Carreg.
WonderlandWPA won the deal in July following a five-way pitch to design new packaging for the brand, and work began that month.
The open-ended contract also includes the design of a new identity and graphics.
Lawrence Barnett, managing director at WonderlandWPA, says, ‘Brecon Carreg wants to establish a much more impactful, distinctive presence on the shelf – the water market is saturated with brands.
‘The packaging needs to work much harder for them,’ he adds.
The contract is also an opportunity to highlight the purity of the product, Barnett says. The natural mineral waters are drawn from the rock strata beneath South Wales’ Brecon Beacons.
The packaging is expected to roll out in spring 2009.
