Meyer Davis Studio collaborated with UK consultancy RPA:Vision, which has overseen interior architecture and project management.

The 914m2 space at 130 mount Street Mayfair used to be occupied by a Nicky Clarke Salon and has been heavily converted.

A small area on the first floor has been opened up, as has the basement, to make a three-floor store which will sell accessories, beauty products, home décor and children’s wear, in addition to its ready-to-wear and bridal lines.

Coral stone from the Dominican Republic – referencing de la Renta’s birthplace – has been introduced across feature panels, some of which back video screens showing catwalk shows.

High gloss white anigré wood flooring features throughout, and walls have been treated with an off-white colour.

RPA:Vision says the overall look is ‘clean and modern’ and the materials ‘look like they’ve been bleached by the sun’.

This allows the merchandise, which changes frequently, to stand out, according to the RPA:Vision.

The Mayfair store is Oscar de la Renta’s 14th globally, and its third in Europe.
