    Hamley's owner Baugur is reportedly planning to build an Arcadia-style retail empire, following the £152m acquisition of British retail chain Oasis. Oasis chief executive Derek Lovelock, who will remain at the helm, says he will be looking at overseas expansion and the acquisition of new brands.

First, Energis, then Holmes Place (DW 6 and 13 November) - both companies back from the brink.So, how about this for a slogan? 'Dave: putting its hand down the U-bend of brand consultancy.' Sorry lads.
