Ramshaw triggers change at DBA

The Design Business Association is expected to outline a shift in direction later today when Nick Ramshaw takes over as president.

The managing director of Elmwood Leeds and director of Elmwood Leeds Media, who will serve a two-year term as president, is expected to outline his plans to focus on the development of client relationships.

He takes over from John Mathers, UK chief executive of Enterprise IG, who, unusually, has held the reins for a period of three years.

According to DBA chief executive Deborah Dawton, the DBA has doubled its membership under Mathers.

Members of the DBA have been invited to the organisation’s annual general meeting to vote for the re-election of its board of directors.

Those standing for election are Lin Dickens, managing director of Aricot Vert; Adrian Wheeler, creative director and managing director of Creator; Rosalyn Scott, director at Dalziel & Pow; Will Rowe, managing director of Rufus Leonard; Nina Warburton, director of Alloy Total Product Design; and Helen Blake, managing director of Absolute Design.

The membership will also vote to reappoint Chris Wood, chairman of Corporate Edge.
